Yunnan Overseas Education Center 

Yunnan Overseas Education Center is located in Kunming, Yunnan Province. It is a comprehensive language and culture school that is dedicated to providing quality language programs to overseas Chinese and foreigners, and to promoting cultural exchange and cooperation between China and other countries.

The school has been widely praised for its highly effective teaching work since its founding in 1960. It is among the first schools in southwest China to have offered Chinese programs to foreigners. To date, the school has produced over 3,700 graduates from 20 countries and regions. For it's outstanding contributions in teaching Chinese, the school has been appointed by the Chinese government as a base for Chinese language education in April, 2000.

The center has always attached much importance to improving teaching quality and construction of teaching faculty. As a result, the center has been ranked among the best schools in foreign students performance on the Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK) in Yunnan Province over the years, and ranks the second in the number of foreign students and Chinese overseas students in Yunnan Province.
The center is fully equipped with comprehensive teaching building, language labs, reading-rooms, recreation&sports center and dormitory. Besides, the center enjoys convenient study and living conditions. There are banks, post offices, supermarkets, internet cafe and numerous places for entertainment around the center.

Kunming is an ideal place for study, living and tourism due to its mild climate, beautiful scenery and convenient transportation facilities. Kunming City is surrounded on three sides by mountains and borders on the Dianchi Lake in the south. At an elevation of 1,891m above the sea level and with an annual average temperature of 14.5C and a yearly average rainfall of 1,035 mm, Kunming has long been known as Spring City.
